About The Book:
Is There Love After Murder? Fifteen years ago, Alvar went to prison for a murder he didn’t commit. Finally released, he comes face to face with the real murderer - the only woman he has ever loved.

The Review: This short is a complement to a previous Kimber Chin short I’ve reviewed, Indestructible. In this story, Alvar, the hero, has been released from prison for serving time for a crime he did not commit. He pleaded guilty because he thought the woman he loved, Edenia, murdered her husband and he wanted to protect her.

Enter Alvar years later working for the same “Boss” from the other short, Mr. Santos. Edenia confronts him, wishing to be with him. Alvar scorns her but later relents and meets her.

Their love story evolves, but Alvar realizes if Edenia didn’t murder her husband and he didn’t, the real killer was still out there somewhere and could attack them.
The story is well-written, just like Indestructible. I enjoyed this short although I enjoyed the former story more. Again, I look forward to reading more of Ms. Chin’s stories.
